The City of Menlo Park has approved amendments to the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance and Map proposed by the Bohannon Development Company to construct the following:

  • Cafe / restaurant (4,245 square feet)
  • Health club, serving hotel guests and the public (68,519 square feet)
  • Hotel (171,563 square feet; 230 rooms)
  • Neighborhood-serving retail and community facilities (10,420 square feet)
  • Three office and R&D buildings (694,669 square feet)
  • Three parking structures

The development would take place on 2 sites totaling 15.9 acres located near the US-101 / Marsh Road interchange. The specific sites are located at 100 to 190 Independence Drive and 101 to 155 Constitution Drive.

“The redesigned hotel is projected to deliver to the city about $3.1 million annually in transient occupancy tax revenue. That’s about $1.2 million more than the version presented in 2010, according to Mr. Bohannon.”
